Wilma and Frieda’s is a restaurant in Palm Desert’s El Paseo shopping center, an outdoor mall. This restaurant serves tasty food for breakfast and lunch from 7 am to 5 pm every day of the week. The restaurant has indoor seating for 35 people, but it also has a beautiful patio that seats 70 people with a view of the shopping center’s garden.
Wilma and Frieda’s is a family-owned restaurant that started in 2013. It was named after two grandmothers, Wilma and Frieda. The idea was to create a place where people could gather for delicious breakfasts, lunches, or dinners seven days a week. Even though Wilma and Frieda’s is an eclectic Restaurant, it has evolved into serving American classics. The Chef still uses those grandmothers’ recipes when they make homemade buttermilk biscuits, blueberry cream scones, and other baked goods.
Wilma and Frieda’s Popular Dishes
Wilma and Frieda’s Restaurant serves popular dishes like omelets, pancakes with fruit toppings, and a variety of French toasts. For lunch, there are soups and salads, tasty sandwiches like roast beef on a baguette with homemade horseradish sauce, and hot entrees like baked pasta. The restaurant is only open to 2 pm during the day.

Desserts like apple pie, raspberry brownie cake, and lemon meringue are baked fresh daily from ingredients that the Chef gets from local farmers. Wilma and Frieda’s is located right next door to Sak’s 5th Avenue on El Paseo and offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding area. At Wilma & Frieda’s, their dishes are inspired by the recipes of their grandmothers and they use only the freshest ingredients. They source products from local farms, and are very proud to serve coffee roasted by another local favorite Koffi!
