Acrisure Arena
The Acrisure Arena is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose indoor arena in Thousand Palms, California, located near Palm Desert between Interstate ten and The Classic Club golf course.
Acrise Financial Technology recently purchased the naming rights to this magnificent facility for an undisclosed amount of time so they could put their logo on it as well!
On June 26, 2019, it was reported that the future Seattle Kraken would be based in Palm Springs and that OVG had signed a deal with the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians for an arena.
The 10,000-seat facility is expected to cost $250 million, but Tim Leiweke pointed to a study by the SoCal Coyotes to show how feasible such undertakings are when they employ their own testings.
The arena was to be constructed on Agua Caliente Band Of Cahuilla Indians’ parking lots and leased to the band.
The new NHL-ready arena would have included an adjacent facility that functioned as a year-round community gathering place, stadium for sporting events or concerts; but most importantly, it housed their new AAA team, The Ducks!
After many delays, especially because of the slow pace of construction, this project was restarted early September 2021 with a goal of being completed before the next winter.
The news has just gotten even better. On September 16, 2020—a day that will be etched in our memories for years to come as we approach the conclusion of another year and prepare ourselves once more—Oak View Group (OVG) announced they’ve chosen a venue location near Thousand Palms, California!
